Haven't had a chance to post for a while, working full-time as a lawman in South Texas, going to college full-time, and family life has got me exhausted!!!

Recently had this AR15 completed... let me know what you guys think?  Has free floating quad-rail handguards, ambi-selector, phantom flash suppressor, custom trigger w/springs, VLTOR stock, bushmaster lower with RRA flattop upper and barrel, BCM bolt and charging handle, pop-up rear sight with front and back night sights, ergo grip and P-mags topped off with Hornady TAP ammo...

Nice.  If this is going to ride with you at work, do yourself a favore and send it to ADCO an dhave them cut it down to 14.5" and pin that phantom on there for 16".

Nice CAR A4. Mine's at ADCO having the Hbar under the handguards lightened to .750 or the same as in front of the FSB
and cut to 14.5 + EA2 FH.
What front night sight are you talking about?

I had a shorty built on a pistol lower a few months back, but sold it for funds.  This ones shoots great and has had a few "ride-alongs" with me on graveyard, but since our PD got new AR15's have been leaving it at home.  Thinking of getting a good scope for it sooner or later, trying to decide exactly what to get before I commit though...

Juggling all three is a crazy task, but the wife is awesome about it -although I do get on her nerves sometimes.  I guess I'll just have to buy her a nicer present on our anniversary -maybe a new gun?!?!

The front sight is a Trijocon which replaces the screwed in post...

I'd say Vortex instead of Phantom.  If that bbl is fat under those handguards have ADCO put it on a diet while its there.  Have it turned to govt. profile.

Nice lookin rifle! I like that barrel profile. IIRC, it is somewhat light under than HG's too.

very nice, instead of cutting it down to 14.5, since he's in law enforcement, he can cut it down as short as he wants, and put a suppressor on it.

Was going to have an RRA lower, but decided to keep the Bushmaster lower for sentimental reasons...used this rifle in it's original format as a SWAT entry rifle on several raids -so this rifle has been through the doors of some bad places.  I was thinking of going short with the barrel, but really like the longer 16" for longer range work...

Anyone have any recommendations on scopes / red dots???  Been looking around for a decent, and low cost option...

Unless the lower is agency owned, he still has to get a stamp from BATF for that.

You can't go wrong with Eoetech or Aimpoint. I prefer Aimpoint because you can leave them turned on at all times.
