OK, so before i start i just want to mention that i'm new to the AR world, so please don'l bash me. Also i search the forums and could not find details on how to fix my issue.
So now to the issue. Detais: Kit is brand new i have 3 mags all from CMMG issue occurs on all mags. Problem: When i cock the lever back to load a round in the chamber the round doesn't load completely. Here is a video i made to show the issue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Osi0mJ_phck I have already contacted CMMG and so far i'm not impress with there customer service. Without getting further details they refer me to a post on this forum, (http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=145&t=176451). I had already seen this post and did what they said, i took it all apart clean it, used the drill with a .22 brush, everything. No luck. i did that before i even contacted them. Well i replied saying that, 4 hrs later they ask me if i fired the thing. Really??? I tried to, got about 20 rounds, but then issues after issues, i gave up. I tried calling them 3 times today, no answer, maybe early vacation i dont know. So i left a message, no call back. Anyways, what is the next step, what should i be looking for? where do you think the problem is? I'm good with tools and handy work, so i can do the work myself, i just need to know what to look for. thanks for your help. I fell in love with ARs, i now have 2. |

First off, this post will probably end up getting moved to the CMMG industry forum here on the site. There is also a forum here for pistol caliber AR's which has a lot of information on the .22 conversions.
Give CMMG a chance to return your call, they may have been at a gunshow all weekend and working on catching up with the weekend calls/emails, who knows. They do have a buisness to run and sometimes things get busy. They have a fairly decent rep for customer service, give it a chance to work. I'm confident they will make it right. |
