I am planning on putting an ACOG on an M4 and I am wondering which one.
I am pretty much set on the 4x, so no issue with that. However, I am not sure about the color. The new green looks great, but I am not sure about the contrast (ie. is it better then the red?). And I like the new horse shoe style, but is the chevron better? I am real close to getting the TA31H-G (horse shoe - green). |

you say *M4* but what barrel length do you have? if you have a 14.5" get the TA31RCO-M4. if you have a 16" then you will want the TA31F i picked this up a while back....... 1: The width of the TA31F chevron represents 19 inches at 300m.
2: The BDC of the TA31F is not based on the trajectory of a 14.4 inch or a 20 inch barrel- it is based on 62 grain bullet exiting a muzzle at 3050 ft/sec (about a 16 inch barrel). 3: The TA31RCO-M4 (USMC RCO, carbine version) and the RCO-M150 (US Army RCO) both have their BDCs based on the trajectory of a 62 gr bullet from a 14.5 inch barrel. |

I have a 4 power red chevron on my Les Baer Thunder Ranch which kicks ass but the reason that they make so many different models is because most people don't have the same taste. I believe that all acogs are very capable tools and the key is to practice with what you get. |
