Would an M16 bolt in a semi-automatic be considered attempting to mfg. FA?

Or even purchasing one while legally owning a semi AR?

No, your fine.
I have a m16 bolt in my semi-ar15.

Bolts aren't specific to semi or auto weapons. Bolt carriers are. And Colt ships all rifles with auto carriers. Its fine.

There have been about 1,317 shitstorms on this forum about this; if you're really curious, do a search.  Otherwise, what's posted here is all you need.  Do note the distinction between a 'bolt' and a 'bolt carrier'.  Your parts diagram should clear this up for you.

Only possession of a DIAS without a class III constitutes an illigal action. A F/A trigger group in an S/A AR-15 will get the BATF's attention. A M-16 alone cannot make a weapon full auto. I'm amazed at how often this question comes up!

This is why there is  a forum to ask questions.

If you are in doubt call the ATF and they will tell you.  You will not see any benefit to having the M16 bolt versus the AR-15 bolt.  Plus the ar bolt is designed for the ar and the M16 is designed for the M16.  Honestly it is not worth getting hassled over IMO or getting thrown in jail with a metric shit ton of fines.

The forum has an article outlining the law also.
Here

Read this I really do not want to hear about one of our brothers/sisters getting thrown in jail over something like this.
