| How do you like them? Anyone use one with an ACOG? |
| I got one on a whim , its a bit heavy and i would not buy another as the CTR is a better fit for my carbine in KISS mode. Though with the FVG and bipod and light the UBR does balance it better. I used a burris 3x9 for optics though. UBR does looks nice and funtions well. |

How do you like them? Anyone use one with an ACOG? A heavier back end on an AR help the front point and move quicker, and gives a better overall feel for most shooters. I'll come up with an ACOG UBR picture here in a minute. Stick, trying to talk myself into one for my OPS 12th equipped 16" Recon. I can justify the weight increase on rifles with real precision potential, but your arguments for "pointability" are quite valid for a combat weapon, even SBRs. |

I'm going to have to check one out. I currently use a SOPOD on the Recon which I love, but may move that stock to another application. I'm starting to value cheekweld more than weight reduction, which is one reason I like the ACS so much. Great cheekweld and low weight. |

For a Recon, I'd go with the UBR, for a KISS rifle though the SOPMOD is my favorite, even over the CTR. There is not much difference / wideness between the two cheek adapters with the UBR kit though, wish it was a little wider, more closer to the SOPMOD cheek width/angle. Maybe Magpul will make a wider/thicker cheek adapter since it is a simple bolt on design. |

I just got one from DSG. Great company, fast shipping, good prices. It is very solid and as others noted, can balance the rifle well, especially if you have hung too many items on a rail. I think it is a perfect accompaniment to the 16" recce type uppers that use heavier profile barrels and FF rails. You end up with a very neutral handling rifle.
Most of my rifles have the standard M4 stock on them. I have a SOPMOD. I don't care for the CTR. The UBR isn't better or worse than any of these, just different. |
