I have a bushmaster A2 stock I'm wanting to change out with a collapsible stock. I know bushmaster has commercial buffer tubes, and I am aware that the commercial tubes are slightly bigger diameter the milspec tubes, but is the threading the same? If I was to buy a milspec tube, and stock would it fit into the bushmaster lower receiver?

Thanks,
Gunther.

The threads on all tubes are exactly the same, just the tube diameter after the threads is different. If you are going to a collapsible tube, your current rifle tube won't work anyway. Just pick whatever kind of new stock you want, and get the kit that comes with the tube, buffer, and spring.
