Had some medical bills come up and looking to get rid of a Colt Sportster Competition HBAR (pre-brady ban - 1992). Has somewhere between 750 and 1000 rounds total through it. Will probably do a cosignment through a local dealer and not sure what is a good/reasonable listing price that will attract a buyer.

From the page below, I believe it is a first year R6700 model:

Thanks in advance.

If it is used and in excellent shape put $1200 on it. you can always take less if need be. I always go a couple hundred bucks over the going price but i see you are in a pinch..

Think it through though. Are you sure there isnt something of your wifes, girlfreinds or brothers stuff you could sell?? ; )  I always regret selling any Colt or Winchester or Remington or Berretta or _____________ ah you get it.

Good Luck

Thanks. I don't mind selling the gun. I have a couple other AR's - 1 Complete Noveske Low Profile, and another Noveske Low Profile upper / LMT lower.

I appreciate your help!

That should move quick. They cant seem to keep the Colts in stock in the stores in my end of town, used or new.  Plenty of Bushmaster and S&W though..

Yeah I live in a fairly rural area with only 2 shops in a 40-50 mile radius.. After all we are the "Gunshine State" prices seem high at times and others they start to lower when stock gets high. Its almost as fluctuating as gas prices. Sometimes I miss living in / closer to the city.

Most who buy AR15s are fickle...if they can easily pick up a 6920 for $1200 they aren't going to want to pay $1200 for a used HBAR.  You didn't post the state you live in, so I'll guess it's not a ban state.  You could sell the whole gun to a ban state and then you'll see the $1200.

Otherwise, you could just sell the lower on the EE to a ban state person and you should get $500 is for just the lower.  Then you can sell the complete upper on the EE as well.

$650 to $750 to some one who has not had the Kool-aid.  Deduct some for being used.  Maybe 20% to 30%?
