A buddy of mine just picked one up and it keeps coming loose. We can't get it tight enough with a strap wrench and there are no wrench flats. Anyone know how to tighten on down? We used a crush washer.
I thought about getting one. I even asked for some input back in June. I never heard anything until now. I am going to follow your post becouse i still would like one. How does it work when its tight? I think i would use a drop of loctite and the washer. That should hold it.
Here is what I did. I had a piece of srap/spare steel rod in my shop laying around that was a little smaller in diameter than the holes in the end of the compensator. I cut two short sections of this, inserted them into opposing holes on the compensator, and torqued it down unsing a large adjustable wrench.

Thanks, either of those suggestions should work.
Lespaul, He fired about 100 rounds through it yesterday. I wasn't with him so I can't speak to its function but he seemed to like it. From what I've read, it does reduce recoil without adding a bunch of side blast but it doesn't do much to re-direct sound like a Noveske KX3. I'll try to get some trigger time with it once we get it on tight like it is supposed to be and let you know. |
Thanks for the input, from everyone. I will be putting this on my 11.5" SBR. I dont care for the Noveske and i just want to send some sound downrange. I have the A-2 hider on now and it's fine, but i like the Levangs looks and hope the preformance is good also.
