| Do the military issue A4's have M4 feed ramps, or are they normal A2 feed ramps? Also, do they have the upper receiver T-markings? Thanks |

Thanks guys. I'm about to start building my A4 clone and I want to get as close as I possibly can. So it looks like I need an upper with T-markings and standard feed ramps. check PKfirearms. He always has a load of uppers without ramps. Will do. Thanks! |

Thank you, seannw1.

I have heard that M&A are pretty low end stuff. CMT is essentially Stag. CMT makes Stag parts and parts for lots of other manufacturers. I have used CMT/Stag parts with no problems but have never used any M&A stuff. I'm a big Armalite fan, so it's being built on an Armalite lower, so I think I'm gonna go with an Armalite upper as well. |

I just put together an A4 upper using a BCM upper, a KAC M5, and a Bushy 1/7 barrel. Put it together this afternoon and it all went together great. The only thing that caught me a bit off guard was when I bore sighted in the Aimpoint (just to get it close to zero for actual range zeroing, obviously). When I matched the irons up to the aimpoint's dot, I had to adjust the front sight post pretty far down into the non-F-marked front sight base. Now, maybe I horribly screwed up the bore sight, but I checked a few more times with the same result. We'll see when I get it to the range. I'll post pics of my frankengun shortly. ETA: This is a real quick pic in a tub (that needs to be washed). http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m196/borg103/DSC_0056-1.jpg Covers (except for the rear bottom rail) are obviously Promag. I couldn't afford the KAC panels when I bought most of this stuff. I like that partial fence lower. |

That's a great looking rifle and I'd only change one thing: the trigger guard. |

They aren't the cheapest lowers on the market because they are made in small batches. Go here. |

On a .MIL clone if trying to be correct I too like the stock look. I love Magpul on regular guns but for this kind of set up stock is just right. |
