I'm looking to get my first AR15 but am on a budget. After looking around, I've come across this at AIM Surplus. If anybody has any experience with DEL-TON and could advise as to their quality, I would be much obliged. Thank you.

I would prefer a chromelined barrel. I'd look at the CMMG bin guns. I'll try to find it...

Chrome lined aren't usually as accurate and I try to avoid them when I can.
CMMG makes a solid rifle though Del-Ton is the best bang for the buck out there. I bought my 20'' kit from them. RR and Bushmaster uppers are noticeable more tight and solid (particularly handguards and BCG). I put A1 handguards on mine and might buy another bolt (keep old one as spare) which you can afford to do with Del-Ton. Very accurate rifle and has worked fine through the 500 rounds I've shot through it. |

Good bud of mine got a Del Ton last year. It has been a great rifle and either of us would not hesitate to pick on up. Also, check out BudsGunShop.com as they had some Double Stars (another great value) on sale for like $648 Double Star are another fine rifle. A friend of mine has one and it might even be a little nicer than my Del-Ton 20'' A2 |

Thank you all for your advice. I think I'll go with either the DEL-TON or the Double Star. Here is a Double Star for $649 DELIVERD.... http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411537958 |
