I asked Ruger what the trigger pull was, and whether they used standard AR trigger parts.  They told me the pull weight is 5.5-9.5 pounds, that the trigger and components are Ruger, and that they do not recommend using after-market parts.  Seems to me if the lower is mil-spec dimensions, then any after-market trigger should be OK.  Anyone have experience, or an opinion?  Seems like a typical customer-service answer to me.

Just a nice way of CS saying that if you change anything that they didnt put in it they will probably not honor the waruntee.

I'm not liking the reports I keep hearing about Ruger's Customer Service. They could do worse by having a sales rep working to address issues on this forum.

Ruger has never had a formal written warranty. They will on a case by case basis with a bias towards the owner, to fix any probable factory defect. Factory spares from Ruger are also non-existent as they insist on doing most repairs in house.

Could have saved some time by asking the few on here who actually have the rifles about the triggers.   Mine is a factory pull of 3 pounds on the scale.  And yes you can use regular AR triggers in this setup.
