I am building a budget rifle and decided to go with a commercial extension and stock. Upon building I noticed that a boat length of threading is still exposed. Anyone see this before?
(found this DPMS locally for $49.99, stock extension, spring and buffer)

My Colt lowers have about 5 threads exposed from the factory.
ETA: The amount of threads showing is not something to worry about. As long as the receiver extension is threaded in far enough to hold the buffer detent in place, it's fine.

Bottom looks correct.
Don't skimp next time.
Should not cause any problems unless the stock sticks on the treads and won't slide.
It will bother the hell out of you and you will end up buying another tube.
