Anyone have any opinions on muzzle breaks for 5.56?
Are they worth it?
Is one better than the other?
Anyone worth getting for under $200?
PLEASE DO NOT SUGGEST CHRIS COSTAS (which is on sale for $432.95)
Also... I understand that it is more the shooter than the equipment.
Thanks guys

For a great comp at a great price you could try a Cav Comp for $30 or so. I've got one and it works extremely well. But the PWS is the best around IMO, just costs a lot more

$432.95 !?!

For that price they better fly out Chris Costa and have him install it.

I know inconel is expensive but damn!

SJC Titan.  Much much much more effective than the FSC556.  It's louder, though.  And bigger.  Mainly for competition.  Then again, you never said what you're using the gun for.

I like the FSC556 because it also functions as a flash reducer.

It is truly amazing.  I'm running one on my competition rig and there is ZERO muzzle flip.

Why would you want to break your muzzle?

I like the FSC556. It's a good brake/comp/flash hider extravaganza.

I have a Mikuleck (spelling?) brake on my AR. Yes, it does reduce muzzle hop and recoil a bunch...but man is it loud!!!  The cuncussion coming back from the brake is crazy....you can feel it.  The blast coming from it will shake someones pants from  8+ feet away .  If I had to buy one again...I would probably try something different.

The JP Enterprises recoil Eliminator (you may have seen it, it looks like a tank brake) is the most effective reducer of recoil. Period!
Rolling Thunder
MB556K MUZZLE BRAKE
jp Bennie Cooley

etc lots of great breaks, on the market.
