called colt they said its rare but yes its a legit number..
now the question is how much is something like this worth? i got a 250- dollar surefire quad rail on it and like 400 rounds of .223 other stuff.. matter of fact heres what it got. surefire quad rail -Removable handle "flat top" -bipod -col stock -hog grip -hog butt stock pad -red dot optics -surefire single scope rail -adjustable cheek rest -(1) 15 round clip -(2) 30 round clips -military sling -(4) military clip holders -Foldable Forearm Grip -400 rounds -utg military digital camo Ar15 carrying case. Ive been tryint to sell this whole package and been getting the rudest people who are tire kickers.. what in your opinion is this total package worth.. Post Ban. Manufactured on october 5th 2005. Colt ar15 a4 Le with hbar 1/9 cmp .556 nato barrel. Thanks in advance. Everythings Brand new NOTHING HAS A SCRATCH ON IT. http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr15/cr0ck1/Guns/P8290002.jpg |

You're better off selling the rifle by itself. People looking for a rifle aren't always looking for a package that adds to the price. Being postban you may have better luck selling it to someone in a ban state. It's not post-ban, as in "made during the ban". Manufactured in 2005, it's after the ban was over. |

the guy at colt said post ban.. thats why im asking i know you all have more knowledge.. how much can i get for it.. if i left col stock on it and thats it.. i gotta get a stock foregrip so i can take off teh surefire rail.. how much do you think its worth with and with out the surefire rail?
thanks again for all the info guys! |

Doesn't mean shit what "the guy told you". It's the configuration. 1. Does it have a bayonet lug? if so, NOT post ban. 2. Does it have a flash hider or muzzle brake (open face, as opposed to bullet hole sized opening". 3. Is the muzzle brake pinned/welded on. No threaded barrels for a post ban. Check this and then state if it's post ban upper or not. now lets get to the lower.. Is the stock collapsible? If so, it's not post ban. You'll need to pin it or change it. |
| Post-ban is an assault rifle made between 1994 and 2004 with non-evil features; no bayo lug, no removable flash hider, etc. Your rifle was made after the ban ended, so it's technically the same as a pre-ban although a pre-ban would be made before the ban was enacted into law in 1994. Your rifle and the ones being made today do not have the word 'ban' associated with them. I'd say your rifle would be worth just about what it cost new, perhaps a couple hundred less than today's prices. You must have the correct model number in order to properly sell it and get the most for it. It looks like a heavy barrel, which could make it a 6721 as already posted. My 6721 also starts with 'LBD'. Look on the LH side of the receiver to see if it has 'AR-15A3', which makes it a 6721. |

Honestly, with the exception of the Surefire rail (worth maybe $80), the ammo, and the mags, the rest of the stuff in the "package" has no place being near a Colt rifle or anything non-Airsoft for that matter. Big +1
So my ar needs a makeover? lol |

You're better off selling the rifle by itself. Yep. There's a lot of junk on it. Trash all that hogue crap and get the original handguards back on it. It'll bring more money in it's original configuration. so a reddot site is junk, and the cheak rest is junk? |

-(1) 15 round clip Magzine Clips are what the ammo in the picture is on -(2) 30 round clips Magazines -Foldable Forearm Vertical Grip Since you want to learn I corrected a couple things. Most of the accessories on that are inexpensive add ons you should consider taking off and selling seperately. As stated before most people looking to buy a Colt will not want that stuff and chances are you may not be able to sell it at all. |

the sure fire rail was 250.. check their site. Surefire rails are mediocre at best. Regardless of what price Surefire puts on it. The gun will have more curb appeal with the original handguards installed. People prefer to start from scratch when building on a Colt carbean. |

THe Adjustable Cheek Rest and Folding Vertical Grip are made by CAA.
Some people like the Folding Vertical Grip The Cheek Rest in my opinion is junk. |

cool.. im going to see if i take the sure fire off and find a stock part and put it back on.. i get the feel that this site is totally against putting stuff on an ar and keeping it stock? I think your getting the wrong impression... The people here are about quality accessories. Would you put curb feelers and fuzzy dice on a Ferrari? |

it does help with the reddot being mounted on the handle as to being ona flat top being higher.. Actually, no...I don't know anyone who prefers that, unless you were 8 feet tall. Nobody here has a problem with stuff being on an AR, but Surefire rails don't sell in the real world for anything near $250, and the rest of the stuff is cheap junk. No offense. The Colt would be worth more if you'd bought a $250 rail that was actually worth $250. But the SF one isn't very desireable. When you put non desirable stuff on a desirable firearm you lower its appeal and hence its value. Look around for good deals...I've bought stuff for pennies on the dollar. Good stuff, not chinese made stuff. The chinese stuff, you're buying it for dollars on the penny. |
|
They aren't bad, but they aren't really desirable. For $250 they do nothing that a $120 MI set won't do, and they aren't even the proper height.
Flashlights, yes, they're great. And suppressors. Everything else Surefire makes, I don't have time for (and some of their reps feel the same way). |

One of mine has three different colors of flat Krylon on it. Hard to get more ghetto than that. I'd stick with the Surefire rail for now, but pretty much return the rest of the rifle to stock. What do you want to do with the rifle - hunt, self defense, plinking? There are many things you can do... |
