Hello everyone.  As the title states I am looking for a Colt LE6920.  Anyone know where to get one at the best price?  Also is there any confirmation what serial number the 6920's started production with the smaller milspec fcg pins?  How about the fron pivot pin, when did those go to the standard size (.250)  Thanks.

Code 4 LLC.  Just bought a LE6940 last month and my son bought a LE6920 last year.  Best price we could find anywhere.  Really pleased with there service.  $1150 for the 6920.

I phoned Colt earlier this year about the size of the pins in the FCG, they could tell me approximately when they switched to the smaller pins, but couldn't tell me at what serial number. Pathetic in my opinion.

Unless someone here knows, the best bet is to get a micrometer and size them yourself.

What manufacture date did they tell you they switched to the smaller pins?  Thanks.

Your best bet to have these questions answered is the Colt forum in the Industry section here. I wish I had a more specific answer for you, but I know that guys that hang out over there had a serial number range narrowed down for the FCG pin change, and I'm sure they could tell you about the pivot pin as well. As far as price goes, I wouldn't pay more than about $1200 or so for a 6920 right now.

Ended up picking up a 6920 at my local dealer.  It was on sale for $1299.99.  A little more than what is being discovered out there, but I was able to find it locally and inspect it.  Overall quality I am very happy, havent shot yet.  Will be this weekend though for sure.  Thanks to all the responded.

By the way serial is 69xxx range.  Took the pins out and measured them, they are .154.  This was my first time taking out the fcg out of an ar15.  I made sure to install everything exactly as it was before I took it out.  I have read about timing on the fcg online a few times.  By me taking the fcg out and reinstalling them I shouldnt have to make sure it is timed right do I?  Any special procedures to make sure I dont blow myself or my new gun up?  Thanks.
