I'm planning on selling parts of or complete sections of the two AR's I currently have and buying or putting togther the "ideal" AR for my purposes.

I'm looking for advice/thoughts on make and a variety of accesories.

I currently have An Olympic Arms AR-15, 16 inch barrel no flash suppressor, it has the A2 fixed carry handle, well maintained and currently sports An ACOG (forget the model number, but it has the red donut and is 4x32) mounted to the carry handle.

The second AR is a Bushmaster VMatch, it is a Flat top and currently sports a 3x9 Leupold.

What I want is an AR with a 16 inch Barrel, Flash Suppressor (no preference on type) I want a full length rail system (A.R.M.S is the only one I have expierience with) and a 6 position collapsable stock.  I would like to mount an Aimpoint (not sure if M4 or M3) an Aimpoit Magnifier, Tactical Light with pressure switch, Green Lazer with pressure switch, and a fore grip (contemplating a grip pod, like I have used in the service).

I'm not sure if I should sell both AR's and buy a whole new gun and build it from the ground up, or buy an upper to put on my existing lower and only sell one weapon.  The reason for selling an AR or two, is because A) it allows me to spend more on the accesories for the new rifle and B) I really don't need three AR's two of which I really don't like.  I have plenty of rifles both semi and bolt in larger calibers for long range work, this will be a dedicated rifle for 5m to 300m

I have looked at La Rue, Bushmaster, Rock River Arms, and a host of others for the actual rifle, my preference is to buy a complete package and not mix and match lowers and uppers.  While I have actually built an AR before, I would prefer to buy a rifle or upper with the features I desire already installed minus lights/Lazers and Optics.

My budget is flexible, before selling anything it is roughly 1500, but I plan on doing some selling trading so here is my approximate budget

Oly Sold = $600
Bushy Sold = $600
ACOG Sold = $800

Total Budget for Optics, Lights, Weapon, is about $2500.

So any suggestions on what to get?

DD XV would be a good place to start...or BCM complete rifle, or Colt 6920.

Green laser? Why? No need for escalation of force back home dude...

It may go slightly over budget, but I vote for LaRue 16" stealth upper with 12.0 handguard. You can also order a LaRue lower if you want brands to match. Forget da beamz!

True, I guess it just seem's normal to have a green laser on their.  Thats really not a nescesity, but a light is, their are so many that seem good its hard to decide what to settle on.

I use Surefire G2 LEDs.

Inexpensive, tough, plenty of light and good runtime.

Lots of good mounts on the market as well.

my vote would be for a DD XV or Colt 6940..you'll still have some coin left over for accessories..

How about keep your Bushy lower and add a complete BCM or DD upper to it. Some of our sponsors of this site will build you a complete upper with your choice of barrel and rail system. Just drop it on your lower and rock and roll! 

Thanks for the advice, Unless I see something that I really just have to have, my plan for now will be to buy an upper, which will go on my Bushy Lower.

My other concerns are which Rail System to go with?  I've never used anything but A.R.M.S, I've heard great things about several, Any recomendations?  Personal expierience welcom

Also, Is the Aimpoint M4, worth the additional money vs. an M3?  I like the ACOG that I have, my only complaint with ACOG's is the reticle choices, I have the donut which is not really ideal, and the Chevron is ok, but not really conducive to accurate fire, I would prefer a Dot,  Just wondering opinions on optic choices.
