I finally put together my first AR. This site has been immensely helpful and I will become a member in the next couple of days. I had a hell of a time getting the rear trigger guard roll pin in (it actually sticks out of the right side about .5mm); I'm tired of banging on it so I will probably just leave it (got a few blemishes on it from doing so, but the more I play with it the less they matter).
The specs are: Stag lower Stag LPK Stag 2H upper (16", 1:9) MI ERS BUIS Spike's ST-T2 buffer (changing the buffer without shooting it might be n00bish, but now I have a buffer for my next build  , plus I have heard that it will be a nice touch with the carbine gas system)
Magpul MIAD, CTR, enhanced trigger guard Vickers VCAS padded (AA?) sling Noveske QD endplate Troy QD sling swivel USGI 30-round mag (I have some PMAGs but something about the grey USGI mags just seems right) I know that I need to shoot the piss out of it before I make it tacticool, but I found an authentic KAC RAS kit (new) on eBay for $130 that I thought was too good to pass up. Instead of buying an optic I picked up a Spike's ST-22 upper (and added a Colt carry handle from the EE) so I can afford to shoot the platform. I will probably use irons for quite a while.
