Any suggestions for a range bag that will fit my AR and 2 pistols for around 100 bucks? Found one on Maxpedition that looks like it's GTG but wanted your guys input. |

i wanted a soft case that would also be able to hold a couple pistols. Tired of taking my stag hard case and carryin around a plastic bag of ammo, mags, bino's etc.... I'm a noob so that's why i'm makin sure i dont buy something I'll thing is retarded 6 months from now (as i continue to soak up info). This is what i think might do the trick....

As much as I hate to shop at CTD right now, I do own the MOLLE cases and they are probably exactly what you're looking for, and the price is right too. I've had mine for quite a while and I have no complaints
(other than I have too much crap in it edit for clarity |

No Nothing, they are both made by VOODOO, majorsurplus just has them marked-up to a stupid price. |

This is what i think might do the trick.... http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=13&idproduct=90#details I recently bought this bag from Botach, though many people have had issues with Botach, and it is great. I got it for only $55. I wouldn't say it's best for a carbine and 2 pistols but it fits my 16" Recce no problem in the main compartment and my 14.5" LMT or Colt .22 M4 fit snugly in the front compartment. It doesn't have any designated mag or pistol storage though you could throw them in there. Great case but not what you're looking for IMO. I've read mix reviews on the CTD MOLLE which is why I shied away from it. The Voodoo tactical was my 1st choice until I found the maxpedition for $40 less. |

County comm.com has these.
I love mine, and can't beat the $39 price. It's sturdy as hell too. http://www.countycomm.com/bobxl.htm |

Maxpedition makes some great products. I use thier Lanada for a go bag.
The CTD rifle bag looks like a Condor renamed. Great design, good price, questionable quality - it works though. I bought one, but probably would have been happier with the VooDoo or Maxpedition. The Voodoo is a very similar design. It is identifiable by the molle straps on either side of the two outside/exterior pockets which the CTD and Condor do not have. They also have two back straps rather than one cheaply attached like the Condor. (I'm not sure I'd trust it when the bag is weighted with rifles.) You pay a little more, but get the good design and better quality. For parts, cleaning stuff, etc, I use these small tackle boxes that fit perfectly in the two magazine pockets on the exterior of the bag. Sports Authority sells the same ones. When I'm at home, they are on the work bench - when I go to the range I toss them in the bag. |
| I usually used my Camelbak BFM for a range bag but will use my HSGI Armordilla V2 for my range bag when I'm back in the States. It comes with a concealed holster that velcros inside the bag (or on the interior velcro panels) and the PALS allow you to attach any number of mag combinations and pouches to the outside for ammo, cleaning kits, score sheets. The inside of the bag is big enough for a computer (up to 15") and you can toss in a pack of targets, extra mags, and ammo. As for the rifle, just carry it inside. |
| Got my Mod Gear Ultimate Carbine/molle 207 case today. You guys and reviews on CTD were right F-ing on. What a great deal. My wife even gave her nod of approval on quality. It fight my XD 45, Sig Navy 9MM and Stag like a charm. Plenty of room in front packs for my head gear, mags, ammo etc... Went with the desert tan over the digital camo (was tough call) but glad i went with the tan. Vry sharp. I will post pics soon. the bag is made by Condor? Never even saw the name anywhere when i ordered. |

Sportsmans Warehouse has the voodoo bags as well and they're cheaper. The SW version also is setup to carry two rifles and two pistols whereas I believe the CTD ones only carry one rifle/2 pistols. I have both and think I prefer the ones I got from SW.
