I've looked around and occasionally see High Standard AR components.  Growing up and shooting bullseye I always wanted a high standard pistol.  A lot of the shooters had them and they were renown for their quality and accuracy.  Does the same company make the AR stuff?  How are their bolt carriers and other items?  Any info would be appreciated.  I have  a positive name recognition with these but have no idea how things may have changed over the years.  How do they compare to other brands?   Can you compare them to some for comparisons sake?

Thanks.

Same company. I've seen a number of their built lowers, everything looks fine on them, I haven't seen any of their BCG's though. I wouldn't see a reason to not get one of their lowers, looked fine, pretty good price point as well.

Anyone else want to chime in?  I'd like a few more opinions.  Thanks for all your comments.

I owned one of the rifles. Shot fine and was reasonably priced. I'd buy another one. I only sold it because I needed some money in a hurry.

I got one of their buffer tubes/receiver extensions (commercial diameter)- seems very well made and nicely finished. I think I read that their AR-15 operation is/was made up of some former Colt people. That's about all I know.

They also have lower parts kits.  I've seen them @ Brownells.  I don't know anything about their quality, but am also curious.

I have used a couple of High Standard LPK's and a few other of their parts in my builds. Initial quality appears to be good with no fitting issue.
