Looking for some opinions on electronic ear pro.  Do the ear muff style tend to get in the way of a good cheek weld? I just use standard ear plugs now.  Also  I do some shooting in-doors, so I had heard/read somewhere that the surefire earplugs don't work that well in doors.  Thanks!

I've been using the electronic muffs since about 1994. They have come a long way in function, battery life, size, and weight. The slimmer styles are fine for rifle shooting. The concussion from indoor shooting will destroy part of your hearing ability with plugs only, no matter how good the plugs are. I spent a lot of time on top of tanks back in the eighties during live fire exercises. Sometimes with a CVC helmet and sometimes only with plugs. The concussion takes away hearing that is not coming back. Always wear muffs, preferably electronic.

I've been using the Caldwell e-max low profile muffs for about 3 months now. I really like them and I haven't changed the batteries yet. They do not get in the way of a good cheek weld either. Another bonus is they really don't break the bank for a decent electronic muff.
