I need to replace the front site base on my 6920 to make it legal in my state.I can not have a bayonet lug. I would like to get a f mark'd without a lug vs cutting the lug off exsisting base. Any ideas?

Dremmel it if you think you can do it.  Then coat the cut portion with this

Don't cut it off. Just put a bead of weld on it so you can't fit a bayonet on it anymore. Then if you ever move to a free state you can grind off the weld and still have a working lug.
