| I should be getting some pics up soon, get a new phone on Wednesday, and just wanted to know if anyone else had a LEO marked Bushmaster lower. It is my understanding that they are kind of rare, but I was just wondering if anybody else had one. |
| Oh yeah, wanted to add, does the fact that it is LEO marked mean it is any more durable, or is it just marked LEO? Like, I would think if a rifle was meant for Law Enforcement, it would be a near top of the line gun, and have to undergo a bit more inspection than the every day rifle, but I really dont know much, it is my dad's gun (I bought it for him), he already has one Bushmaster LEO marked AR, but we don't know anything about them. Any help is much appreciated, thanks ahead of time. |
| I didn't think it was built different than any rifle, I was just wondering if, because it was made during the ban, it was possibly higher quality than current AR's coming out, I only thought that because if a gun is being handed to Law Enforcement, one would assume it would have to be a very very well made gun to handle what they would do to it, and I have heard some complaints about Bushmaster and Colt and stuff more recently, while during the ban you didn't really hear anything but good things about them (basically, it seems like factories may have slacked a little on quality because they can sell to the public now, not to people who are going to use and abuse them, also, most companies have a "regular person" section and a "law enforcement" section now-a-days). Either way, even if it is just for looks, it is something not many people will have, and adds at least a little value to the gun. The main reason I was wondering all this stuff, is because Colt's with LEO markings are a dime a dozen (figure of speech, not calling them cheap guns Colt lovers) while Bushmasters with the markings are a lot harder to find. Thanks for you guys' help. |

Mine has it and the only reason it does is that I walked into a local fun shop and purchased it the day after the ban expired. I was expecting it to get reinstated in a couple days and didn't want to miss out as I was 16 when the ban went into effect. The Gov/LEO was only on there because it was built during the ban and had banned features, I don't think it was built different than any other rifle. That being said I think it looks kind of cool and its a reminder to not let that happen again. |

Finally have a pic of mine, I hope I am posting this right. Took with phone cam, and the camera isn't good enough to get the letters on my gun (sad, I know, but I have a phone for talking not taking pics :D ). Anyways, here it is:

Looks good, now slap a BUIS on it, and you'll be good to go. Yeah, I plan on putting a mid length free float rail on it (one that will clear the front sight block) and adding a BUIS to it, I think with a few more mods I will get it looking good. I bought it for my dad, but as of now it is "mine" because he is still using the one he bought a while back (also a Bushmaster), he has used Colt and Bushmaster and likes both, but likes the price tag of his bushmaster much more |
