Can anyone tell me when Colt started using the standard sized trigger pins in its LE6920s?
Did it happen to be when they started shipping with full auto BCGs, or after? Thanks in advance. |

I'm not sure of the exact date either but Colt switched to the small standard size trigger pins on their 6940 models sometimes early this year or spring time, then after that the 6920 models also switched to the standard size pins.
Colt started shipping their M16 full auto BCG with their rifles after they had approval from the BATF way back in Feb. 2005. Ref. Colt 6940 thread http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=433888&page=1 |

So what's the significance of the change? Is the resale value of the "old pin" guns now reduced? Is it worth selling them for newer rifles? No, it's only worth it to you, if you want to put in a trigger group that isn't made in .170. Resale shouldnt be affected. If it is, I'll gladly give someone a good chunk less for one. |
