so i was at the gun show today and wanted to pick up a full auto bcg, talked to a guy that had some he said they were FN manufactured and the bolt was MPI the price was right but wanted to know if anyone knew if FN manufactured it or something else like CMT......
basically are they good to go??? so I can pick one up tomorrow |
| FN has a military contract,,probably some of these. i personally would not shy away from anything FN makes,,,YMMV. some of the more learned ones should come along to give some good info. [ i have 2 that i acquired from g&r tactical last winter,,no problems and look great] |

Quoted:
FN makes almost HALF of the small arms being used by our troops. If it's an FN BCG it's definitely GTG but may have been procured under shady circumstances... Directly or indirectly from Uncle Sam. Wait a minute! I stand corrected! It's not "almost half", it's 70%! |
| I am always very careful about who I buy items like BCGs from. BCGs are usually not clearly marked to indicate manufacturer. All you have to go on is the word of the seller. So items like this I would only buy from a dealer you can trust (Bravo, Rainier, PK, your local shop that you trust, etc.). If you have a GOOD reason to trust the seller, then by all means, buy it. If not, I wouldn't make the purchase. |
