I have a Bushmaster A4 Target Model that I just installed a red dot optic and 5x magnifier. Sine this is going to be my "sharpshooter" AR since my other rifle is a carbine model, what bipod should I put on this rifle and should it be one of the vertical grip/bipod combinations?
All comments are welcome. |

Hope this helps your questions about the vertical forgrip bipod / patented Grip Pod the original poster asked .Tested against all bipods and totally adopted by The U S Army, U S Marine Corps ,U S National Guard ,British Army, and many special operations groups , FBI, DEA,

| My friend has the versapod. I hate it. Since it's a combination foreend grip, light and bipod it's a compromise of all three and does no 1 thing exceedingly well. It wobbles and is a PITA to open and close. If you want precision and rock solid holds get the Harris BR - thre's a reson they are so popular |

I can't believe nobody mentioned Parker Hale. They're a bit pricey, but very nice. I like Harris as well and they are considerably cheaper. Good luck finding a PH. Both Gibbs and Versa-pod copied the PH design. I went with the Gibbs. At the time the Versa-pods were flimsily made. The Gibbs had some thick paint on it like some European manufacturers used to put on military rifles. Had it Parkerized and now it's pretty much undistinguishable from a Parker-Hale minus the $300 tag. |

This is what I would go with
Larue Tactical (harris and mount) |
