Do MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspected) bolts typically retain any residual magnetism.
I have a Bushmaster which still has a small amount remaining (ie. lifting paper clips), and a BCM bolt without any magnetism at all. Perhaps the shot peening BCM performs is a factor. I know the knowledgable folks here could answer. Thanks, |
