So tomorrow I'm putting a deposit on AR lower, it's a CMMG already assembled lower. I plan on getting a mid length upper down the road.
I want to add Magpul MOE stock, grip and hand guards, so my question is wether or not the MOE handguard will fit a mid length upper or should I get the carbine type upper?

Thanks

the guards fit the middy  Carbine

ETA: I am a dummy when I said middy i meant carbine.

Ø     Multiple
slots on sides and bottom allow for the addition of optional Picatinny rail
sections

Magpul MOE handguards will only fit carbine type.

They only make carbine hand guards

However, I would still go with the middy, they have many advantages over carbines.

Are you sure?  Magpul advertises the MOE HGs for carbine gas systems, which would mean they wouldn't work on the mid-length.  With that being said, to the OP, don't just buy a carbine length gas system just for some HGs.

ETA: +1 to Anteater's post.

Thats cool, not a big deal. I'm more concerned with getting it complete right now, plenty of time for the other stuff later on.
