| I just purchased a DPMS 16" flat top upper and when I got home it won't fit on either of my 2 lowers...the front pin does not line up and it is the same problem on both lowers...has anyone seen this before... |

The holes in the front pivot pin lug and the rear take down pin lug on the upper may not be located correctly. Yes I have seen this on a lower receiver of a different brand sold as a blemished lower at a gun show.
Option one: Attatch the upper and lower with the front pivot pin then see how mis located the rear take down pin hole is on the upper by looking through the hole in the lower. If the upper's lug hole just needs a little touch up to align correctly ,you could use a round file to remove some material so the pin will go through. File on the upper because the work will not be visible when the rifle is assembled toghether. Option two: Return the whole upper to where you bought it because the holes are not located properly. |
