If I chamber a round and don't fire it, when I extract the round I notice the primers have a dimple in them, sometimes its smaller than others. Is this normal?? I see it on Factory and my reloads so I am just wanting to be on the safe side that's why I'm asking.

hmm, does your rifle also make a "spriong" sound when fired ?

If it does it's definitely broken, send it to me for disposal.

perfectly normal, the AR has a free floating firing pin.

AR's do that. They have a floating firing pins. I don't know any, but I'm told there are sping kits you can add to change it. As long as your not using a load with a very sensitive primer, or a handload with a high primer, you should be good to go. Just another great reason for safe muzzel control when loading one,,,

Ok thanks for the info. I was pretty sure this was normal, just wanted to be on the safe site. Now if I could get this gun to shoot some decent groups I'll be good to go, but that doesn't seem to be happening right now.
