Anyone know if there is anything I can do to cover up a small scratch on my lower receiver?

Get more scratches on it and you won't notice that one

One of my old rifles had quite a few scratches so I decided to make it look a little nicer. I just used a marks a lot black marker to color in the scratches and rubbed it my finger immediately afterwards and then some gun oil to help blend it in..looks much better than before I'm sure the same concept with other fancier touch up pens would work as well...

According to my
COLT ARMORS MANUAL
Lacquer black jet lusterless acrylic nitrocellulose type touch up
US FED Specs  TT-L-50D, Type 1 or US spec Mill 19538 Color 37038

Work for colts

I would just use any type of  paint  YOU LIKE

BTW manual is from the 80`s

I have several more types

but I would think it would do

That's good stuff. Only works with Aluminum. Doesn't work with steel. Make sure the item is clean before application. I also use a hair dryer to heat the item up beforehand. That helps the chemical reaction a bit.
