This is my first AR and luckily, the weather held out to take it it to the range this weekend. It was the first time ever shooting this platform so sighting in the eotech in at 100 yards took a little getting used to and I will have to work on my posture. I went from a 5" group to a 1" group at the end of the day with minor adjustments. I used a PMag, PMag windowed and C Products magazine and they all functioned flawlessly.
I am open to productive criticism. Stag AR YHM lightweight quard rail Eotech 512 MI BUIS UTG foregrip Ergo grip GG&G Eotech lens covers http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/wrxcelration/Random/stag4.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/wrxcelration/Random/stag2.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/wrxcelration/Random/stag3.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/wrxcelration/Random/stag1.jpg |

For gear, sling.
Grip/stance. IMO it's a personal thing if you can hit it's good. BUT I was always told to keep my strong arm in tight against my body. ala right elbow pressed into me. Don't know if it's better, worse, or whatever it's the way I've been shooting for so long I can't imagine changing now. |

For productive criticism:
Get rid of the UTG. Not just because it's UTG, but because they are HUGE. I had one for about a month...enough said. Find a nice KAC on the EE for $25 and replace it. The front sight post...I can't tell who makes it, but if it's not a decent manufacture I'd replace that too, maybe a YHM front or a MI to match your rear BUIS. Then get a sling and some ammo. All things considered, it's a really nice rifle, especially for your first attempt. Welcome to the club! |
