I believe BCM asks that you make sure that your barrel have the corresponding "cuts": "Please insure your barrel extention has M4 feedramps before using this product." If your barrel extension doesn't have the cuts then you don't need an upper receiver with 'em. I've been told by a builder that you can still run the two together....I wouldn't. Get yourself a Larue Stealth upper and you're good to go.  And it will most definitely "do the job"!
