I have an EA lower that the Hammer pin would walk on. Nothing I could do would make it stop walking after ~200 rounds, so I bought a set of these and have had zero problems since. I'll be putting them on all my rifles now.

Some might say they are unneccessary. I say their cheap insurance.

Unless you are having problems with your current pins "walking out" on you, they are not useful. They are a little added insurance if you are going full auto though.

I put some on my SHTF gun just in case. But I don't know if they are really necessary.
