I noticed on th Young web site they claim their Match Bolt Carrier group increases accuracy. Can someone fill me in?

I would think very little. I cant think how it would be any different than any other BCG in terms of function so I dont know why they claim it increases accuracy.

The National Match carriers are a tighter fit in the upper because there is more surface area touching the receiver.

Manufacturers who build long-range precision rifles seem to think this is a good thing, which is why some of them use Young's NM carriers.

Zip, Zero, Nada.

They do nothing to help accuracy, accuracy depends on the lockup between the bolt and the barrel extension.

True, but the lock up of the bolt and barrel extension is dependant on the dimensions and consistency of the BCG. Also on some precision applications some will go with a lighter carrier that shortens lock-time, thus shortening the amount of time that the  bolt is in contact with the case and effecting the projectile before it has left the barrel and is still being pushed by the gases while the bullet is in the 'dwell' stage.
In theory the accuracy of a projectile, as we can effect it, is dependant on the sum of and consistency of all forces exerted on the bullet while it is still in the weapon. By tailoring all facets of the operating components, to include the bolt and carrier is essential for maximum accuracy. Whether or not it is possible as humans to perceive these minute changes is less clear.
If I were building a 'precision' platform I would likely try to incorporate any and all parts that improve accuracy, even if to a marginal degree on their own, as it is the sum of the parts that is the goal.
