Hello, a short time ago I asked for help in removing my muzzle break and you guys were able to explain it easily.

I'm planning to remove my front sight since it co-witness' with my EOTech.  Not a huge deal, but I'd be happier with a flip up BUIS.

So I did a search of muzzle break and removing front sight and didn't find any info

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to remove the ront sight on my Bushmaster A3M4 Patrolman's carbine?

I understand I need to put a muzzle break with BUIS mounting capability on, is that correct?

Thanks again guys.

It's gas block or a FSB not a muzzle brake. All you need is to soak the taper pins in WD-40 on the front sight base/gas block. Grease the barrel or it may scratch when you get it to move towards the muzzle. Need a hammer and a punch. You can use a punch larger than the pins to get it started. Then a punch of the same diameter of the pins. The pins are skinny on one end. Roll ejection port towards floor. Strike on the side pointing up on the taper pins. You'll have to have it held very firmly or your hits on taper pins won't move them. Tape off and pad everything you don't want scratched. Your first one is rarely perfect. The punch will slip and scratch stuff up unless you are steady or used something to cover up the good bits.
