I was snooping around Vltor's website and noticed their uppers are mil spec. Whats the difference, i thought all uppers are the same?! Will i have trouble mating a novekse barrel to a RRA upper?

The main thing to lo look out for is the feed ramps and barrel extensions.  M4 uppers have feed ramps cut into them that mate up with the ramps on the barrel extension.  Rifle length barrel extensions combined with M4 uppers will create a lip that can cause feeding issues.

Vltor uppers are not mil-spec. That distinction only applies to Colt M4/M16& FN M16 contract guns.

I know what the M4 feed ramps are and all about them. I know i have no problem with a non m4 ramped upper with a barrel with the m4 feed ramps (my rra upper with noveske barrel). The problem is vise versa. Warpig8654 check out the Mur uppers i was talking about it says they are milspec at the top(not trying to be a smartass, just trying to answer my problemd) here,

i think they recently switched from being billet to forged, so maybe that is what they are talking about - mil-spec can be used in many different ways.
