I keep seeing people buying M&P's for 899.  I for the life of me can't find 1 for that price.  In Kentucky, does someone know of a shop that has them for that price?  I have been wanting an Ar for some time now.  It will be me first and only.  I have had great success out of my S&W pistols and would life to keep them all the same.  Any and all help is appreciated.

Have you tried Whittaker Guns in Owensboro? I haven't been there in years, but the last I knew, he sold his new guns at about 8% over cost. Hell, his shop is better than most gun shows. Might be worth a call.

I suppose everyone is sold out of the M&P.  Great link for those.  Thanks.  Does anyone else has a suggestion for a place to buy 1.

I don't know any one that has them stock. But I been looking for the M&P15T for a while and gave up and back ordered it from Guns Express. They Told me it would be 21 to 60 days.

If your willing to pay retail I've seen some at Gander Mountain from time to time.

which model.  If that is for the standard or A model, that is an excellent price these days.

I picked up my OR model for 1059 with tax. That's slightly high by most standards, but the shop I got it at is known to be a bit high. On the other hand they had it in stock and that was just the regular price they charged. They're also my source for primers and powder and since they've managed to actually keep a decent amount in stock and haven't increased prices I consider it reasonable to give them the slight premium on the rifle.

I would also like to add that I'm very happy with mine. Tight, no issues so far whatsoever, and has dropped every magazine I tried so far. I haven't put that many rounds through it yet, but everything from PMC 223 to 69 grain Prvi match 223 and prvi m193 has worked without a hitch.

I'm the guy who got the loose one.

(If the upper/lower fit were better, I'd be content even though I ended up paying a bit more for it than I really intended.)

The M&P15's are still not exactly common retail items in this area... unlike Bushmasters, DPMS and - until recently - RRAs. I haven't found any of the Smith & Wesson models within driving distance for under $1099.

they have both the A model and a few ORC's. Both priced about the same, $950. M&P 15 T runs around $1195. Yesterday when i was there they had one standard, 2 orcs, and 2 15ts.
