I am building a 6.8 upper for a 3-gun rifle. I would like it as light as possible, so I am having the barrel turned down. What do you think the lightest profile acceptable would be before accuracy would suffer? Keep in mind this does not have to be a tack driver, but still needs to reasonably accurate. I was thinking somewhere in the .070" range. I contacted WOA, and they didn't really have any input––they just said they would turn it down as much as they could. Suggestions?
Thanks. |
| Perhaps WOA's response that "they would turn it down as much as they could" is the best answer. Can't use the same profile as 5.56 featherweight/lightweight and you don't want to go too light. Maybe ask here AR Variants or 68Forums for an educated answer. Good luck. |
