timney trigger in AR15 ? > AR Discussions

Just purchased new AR from highly reputable manufacturer. Trigger has creep, is not crisp and pull weight is excessive. I know their rep, did I just get a bad one? Thanks for the help.

The Timneys I have run have all been very crisp and minimal creep.

The timney is supposed to be a very crisp 2 stage trigger, sounds like there is something wrong with yours. I just ordered one for my SPR 2 days ago, I hope it's good

What trigger weight is yours supposed to be, do you know?

I didn't know any manufaturers put Timney triggers in. I thought they were all aftermarket.
Are you sur it's a Timney?

What Timney triggers are two-stage? The drop in units are single-stage. I have one of the drop in units, but came to not like the single-stage. If Timney makes a two-stage, I would be on that like stink on sh*t!

If you open the top receiver forward do you see the Gold Frame that Timney triggers are built into????

I have a Timney #3 trigger in my CMMG / BCM AR15. and love It.

Never heard of anyone being upset with thier POF...not saying thats the AR you have...but you should give the company who you bought your rifle from a holar, im sure they will take care of you.

Ummm, no. Timney triggers are single stage.

I have a Timney 3 lb in my AR15 and a 4 lb pull in my 308 POF and they both have been excellent, very crisp. I have no reservations recommending them.

As consumer Timney does have outstanding service as well as an outstanding product. Thanks John.

I love my 3lb Timney. The people there are awsome too. I took my lower in and in 10 minutes it was installed and I was out the door. I talked to the owner when I was there, he said if I ever have a problem they will make it right.
