At the Dixie gun and knife show in Charlotte, NC this morning, availability of lowers/uppers etc seemed to be a lot better than in the past few months. Ammo is still pretty high in price but I saw more uppers at non-highway robbery prices than I have in the past 6 months.  Anyone notice this at any shows/shops in their local areas?

You will see prices fall significantly on firearms related merchandise be the end of fall.

Even on the EE the lower prices have moderated and supply seems more stable. There's still backorders of parts among the vendors but more parts seem in stock lately. Just in the last day or two I saw a news headline that the prez was not going to seek an assualt weapons ban (referring to Mexican crime). Although the radical/wacky libs would like a ban, I think prez is savvy enough to leave it alone; especially since a ban in the US, to address Mexicans killing each other, would be exposed as total BS and bring obvious discredit to him. Not that he couldn't change his mind but I don't see an immediate threat, however one must be alert always.

I haven't had a problem with prices since the election since I haven't visited the local gun shows or shops for a while before that but I doubt they are stabilizing for all shooters nationwide & I don't see them doing so anytime soon. Availability just isn't what it used to be & that also prolly won't be to our liking for a long while if at all.

It's pretty obvious at this point that any new gun control or bans are going nowhere.  It's the local gunshops perpetuating the fear at this point.

Don't count your chickens just yet.

Obama is smart enough not to be the one to just up and ban the AR's, he'll go though a backdoor to get the job done.

Check out the "Inter-American Arms Treaty".

Obama promiced Mexico's president that he would push hard to get Congress to ratify the inter-American arms trafficking treaty designed to curb the flow of guns and ammunition to drug cartels and other armed groups in the hemisphere. The United Nations could end up telling the United States what it can and cannot sell as far as firearms goes.

I noticed that before the election too.  Gun shops were using Obama as a hype to get more product sold with ads saying "buy it while you can" and similiar things.  I still won't be suprised if a ban is introduced in the House next year, though.

Bottom line, don't trust the lib gov't, they won't give up on taking away our rights!

Prices were stupid high at Knob Creek a few weeks ago (other than at the Rock River booth)

It matters. It isn't just semantics. It matters.

Just bought a stripped DSA upper for $80. A sponsor above has them in stock now. Time to get busy  finishing that AR rifle.
