As far as weight, how does the KAC RAS stack up to other good rail systems?

Is there any kind of reference guide for the weight of various rails and other accessories?

I want good quality and light weight.  I already have the RAS on my M4gery, but it's pretty beat up.  I'd still only change it if I could get a significant weight reduction.

If you are concerned about weight, you might want to look into a different light.  Unless that is a lot lighter than it looks.

true, it was donated by a friend who got a surefire scout light.

It's a pentagon X3.

The rifle is still pretty light, but after I get an Aimpoint it'll weigh more.  My buddies rifle weighs more than my Garand!  I'm trying to avoid this.

ETA:  The pentagon weighs 6.9 oz.  That's pretty heavy.  Thanks for the advice all!  More would be appreciated!  There maybe a G2 in my near future.  I can always keep the Pentagon with my M9
