[ARCHIVED THREAD] - M4 stock tool

I am trying to remove the stock on a Colt M4 (6920) and would like to know who makes the best wrench to remove the stock nut(for lack of a better term).It has four notches at quarter intervals.
Do I need a tool or can I just hit it with a drift or should I buy a wrench.?

You can try using a punch, but you will mess up the castle nut and probably put a few nicks in the threads on the receiver extension.

You should get a CAR stock wrench.

You need the wrench. If you have to ask, you might consider taking it to someone.
