I'm building my first AR on a CavArms lower. You are all familiar with the current situation when it comes to getting uppers.
Well, I found someone with a Colt A1 upper that has the 11.5" barrel and 5" flash suppressor assembly (includes a bushing for putting the upper on modern lowers). He's asking a reasonable amount for it. I've been thinking about getting this upper and putting it together with my CavArms lower as a sort of light, KISS AR15. Thoughts? |

If it needs a bushing to fit current lowers, it's not an A1 upper It's probably a Colt SP! upper (no forward assist). Not that there's anything wrong w/that. Just that you better know what you're doing before you start fitting that upper to a small hole lower. |

Not being familiar with them I'd have to research more about it. |
