Just thought I would rub it in a little...........

Actually I believe full auto is a waste of time and money, but since it's never been my money I've thrown away I can put up with it.

That joke was actually pretty damned funny for people in the 'biz.

Don't apologize

Dont get me wrong, just having it in your possession is cool!  But, an ACOG in any power on a 10-12" barreled carbine is overkill.  A little package like that needs a T1.

I used to think that until I saw some guys with ACOGs on 10.5s making good hits at 500 meters plus!

You can't have too many sling swivels, can you? It's called flexibility. Today you may want a one-point, tomorrow a two-point, then maybe a three-point on Wednesday. Flexible, Transformable. Changeyourmindable.

Oh, hell, maybe you're right.

I hit targets out to 425-450 meters with my 11.5" and 4x ACOG, which I don't think I would be able to do with a T1. I don't consider myself a good shot either... I've heard of LEO's being able to shoot out to 500 on a R0933 with an EOTech.

Can you explain why an ACOG is "overkill" on a 10-12" versus something else?

Perhaps because ACOGS are crappy CQB optics and he has a CQB rig?

Mind telling me what the serial number range is on the A1? I would love to know which model that lower is.
