| Well we took our ARs out this weekend and blasted away a few hundred rounds. We ended the session with a little bump firing just for the fun of it. My dads rifle would stick after each fire. he would have to reset the trigger each time. His rifle would fire, then he had to let off the trigger and then you could hear it reset from 20ft away with ear muffs, then it would go bang again. Im thinking a lube issue or maybe a gritty trigger. What do ya'll think. its a stock LPK. Im going to do a little polishing on it this weekend, maybe even the 15min trigger job but wanted your thoughts. I was almost like the bolt was not coming back forward all the way until he reset the trigger. |

If you let off of it and it doesn't immediately return forward, give it a few rounds to break in - I had one do the same thing not long agao, but a shot of oil and 100 rounds later, it was (and still is) fine. As a side note, the 15-minute trigger job would make that particular problem WORSE because it lightens the pressure on the very spring that makes the trigger return forward after you let off of it. |
