I just bought an ergo grip (sure grip) and went to install it on my S&W AR15 and I noticed that the stock S&W handle was attached by a round kind of bolt. I thought I would be able to use a regular screw driver. Does anybody know what kind of tool I need to use to remove the stock handle? Thanks!

My Bushmaster also had a round bolt, it was an allen head, 3/16" if I remember right.

+1, I have only seen the hex bolt used in this type of application.  The size is 3/16" as stated beforehand.

Goodluck.  A nice tool to have is a screwdriver type that you can get at a hardware store, and the end looks sort of like a ball, but with hex indents on it.  Will fit a hole variety of different applications and grips.

Hope this helps

Be very careful when pulling the grip off..... there is a spring that fits between the grip and the safety detent.....under pressure, that thing will take a ride on you.....just use some care.....otherwise, you will be out of commission for a few days waiting on a new spring...... my .02
