I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but my search Fu is weak today and I can't find any discussions on this.

For an SPR larue upper I have on the way - I'm struggling with building up a Superior Arms lower I got very cheap (had a slight blemish on the roll mark - otherwise fine) or getting an LMT complete lower w/ SOPMOD.  I can save a little bit by going the build route over the complete LMT lower, but its not a show stopper for the difference in $$.  My main concern is the Superior lower going to be substandard and not great for an accurate SPR.  Or does the lower not matter?

Thanks.

It doesn't.

As long as the lower is within spec it does not matter.

Of course the trigger matters. Also, I dont want any wobble in my precision rifle

The lower receiver isn't that important, it's the stuff you attach to it that is.

Get a nice stock, pistol grip, and trigger and the rest of the lower can be standard components.

Unless maybe it's a Hesse/Vulcan lower!

It doesn't.

a trigger/buttstock may make you more accurate, but it doesn't affect the intrinsic accuracy of the rifle.  The lower is a non-stressed part.

It is funny how you can't say this enough.

You may not want any movement but it won't affect accuracy one bit since the barrel, bolt and sighting system are all on the same part which is the upper. Slop between upper and lower will affect something like an FAL due to the sights being on both the upper and lower but will do nothing to an AR.

A lower in spec is just there to keep the rest of your gun together.

Now if your Hesse/Vulcan/Blackthorne/? lower kabooms and blows a couple fingers off you'll
earn a good flinch. And flinches are like syphilis, easy to get and impossible to get rid of
