| LMT and Colt make 14.5" uppers as does Noveske and Sabre Defense. They are generally not ban compliant ( I understand you are in New York). Even in the non ban states you have to permanently attach an extended flash suppressor or in your case a compensator to bring it up to 16" legal length (or register it with BATF as a short barrel rifle), and you would have to have the bayonet lug removed. Right now they are hard as hell to find though you can probably find a Colt upper for around $1100. |

sorry it took me so long to respond to you guys.i have 2 noveskes already. one is a n4 basic with omega rail, aimpoint ml2/larue and other goodies. the other an n4 light with t-1/larue and goodies. one of these will have an acog also for fun and variety. i wanted a simple kiss carbine that i woulsd add a sling and maybe a tlr-1 light as a trunk gun and honestly, something light and simple my girl could use if shtf. i'm spoiled with the noveske quality and didn't want to pick up a bushy or dpms. i want something nicer, in spec and reliable for shtf. would the cmmg be a good choice?they'll build a comliant version. they've done it for me in the past but i no longer own that rifle.
would you trust a cmmg k.i.s.s. carbine with your life or should i be spending 1100 clams on a colt upper? that's crazy!  thanks for the advice guys
