OK, so DPMS seems to be a touchy subject.  I am looking for a new AR.  I am open to any brand, I just want quality.  I just looked at RRA website and they have some nice guns there.  I am open to anything, but I want a classic, NM or carbine configuration with the attached carry handle.

I am looking for input on which brand to go with.  I would like to keep it under $1500.

How long you willing to wait to get it?

Want it fast?  Go to a gun show or gun shop.

Want it slow?  Buy from CMMG or Sabre or Legal Transfers (ar15sales.com).

You are going to find tons of bias info on here as with any forum. Truth be told, if you go with any major manufacture you will be fine. I highly recommend Stag because of its quality and customer service. The customer service experience I had related to I backup iron sight. I wanted to exchange a MI BUIS out for an A.R.M.S.. They hooked me up no problem. I personally would stay clear of Olympic Arms.  The fit and finish on those rifles are terrible. Just my $.02 though.

If you are able to wait i would order a LMT and sit back and relax. Mine was about $1100 and most would agree it's in the top group of companies.

I think RRA is a great choice that is for sure. Quality rifle and great shooters.

You'll get all kinds of answers.  I've had a few ar's.  I got a DPMS 5 yrs. ago.  Gobbles anything I feed it though it's good to read on here about different ammo brands so you don't have any problems like KABOOMS.  I really like mine and whatever guns I take to the range this one always goes and gets used in 15 degree weather up to 100 degree weather.
