I picked this beauty up at a local gun show today for $900. It is definitely in used condition but not rough and after a little CLP it looks almost like new. I'll be shooting it this week, hopefully it will be a nice little plinker. I think it looks pretty good stock so I doubt I'll mod it too much. Maybe just a ff handguard, vert. grip and a carry handle and be done with it. I was thining of having the barrel threaded then put a 12 or 13" handguard on it with an ACOG but I think that might take away from the original purpose and simplicity of the rifle. What do you guys think? Anyway, I know that it never happened unless I post pics so here ya go.

My first AR was one just like that. I thought I wanted a 20 inch barrel and traded it for a 20 inch Bushie Hbar A3.
I was stupid. I don't know about yours, but mine didn't have a chromelined barrel and I thought I needed one. Still have the Bushie though. patrick |

Why would you consider yourself stupid for wanting a 20" BBL? ........Just curious.

| I can't see any markings on the barrel or on the Colt's website to indicate that the barrel is chrome lined. I have 4 ar's, 2 are chrome lined and 2. Right now the non chrome lined barrels shoot just as well as the ones that aren't. For what I use my ar's for, I'm satisfied. |
